The failure mode most tools ship
Most “AI meeting notes” products generate a transcript, write a summary, and append an “Action items” section as a bulleted list. The list lives inside the meeting record. If anyone wants those items to exist in the team’s plan, a human opens Linear or Jira and types them in. The plan is always one conversation behind the work.
A captured bullet is not a task. A task has a status, an owner, a due date, a parent, and a link back to the decision that produced it. That object needs to live in the team’s backlog, not inside the transcript of a meeting nobody will reopen.
What a real capture flow looks like
